Intermittent Grey Lines across screen

Hiya

I picked up my iPhone 12 on Friday, and have noticed that on and off some transparent dark grey lines appear on my screen from one side to the other, approx. 15-20 lines (they fill the screen.)

I'm booked in to the genius bar on Sunday, but wondering if anyone else has this problem?

I didn't think much of it as it kept happening on and off and figured it must be some adaptive screen feature in different lighting, but it's really annoying as it stays on even if I open my camera or watch something.

When it goes off I can see it fading and switching itself off.

Any ideas or anyone got this as well?

Most of the time, lines on your iPhone screen is the result of a hardware problem. It can occur when you drop your iPhone on a hard surface, or if your iPhone gets exposed to liquids. Vertical lines on the display of your iPhone is typically an indicator that the LCD/OLED cable is no longer connected to the logic board. Try to restart your device. If you can't restart, reset your device. If restarting or resetting doesn't fix the issue, restore your device. If you still see the issue after you restore, Contact Apple Support.

Hiya

I have not dropped the phone or got any liquid on it (I'm being very careful as it's so new!!) I've restarted it and will see how i get on, but they are not permanent and very obviously go on and off like it is supposed to happen. It's very strange! Can't find anything for it online or in settings.
