Selecting right account for sending mail on Mac

HI, I'm using Mail on Mac with multiple accounts. Every time I respond to message Mail will send from Gmail, regardless of the account the message was received to. How can I prevent this?

I too have multiple email accounts and see this behaviour. I don't think there's anything wrong as such. I think it's more to do with alphabetical order. Certainly in my case it is.

First check the "Send new messages from:" setting in Mail > Preferences

Clicking on the "Automatically select best account" pull down menu will reveal all your accounts. I have mine set as above. When replying to an email I make sure I select the email account I want to reply with in the "From:" field.

Good luck.
