Dual sim tray too small on one side

I have an iPhone 11. One side of the dual sim tray is smaller then the other. The sim won't fit in it. Apple said to put the sims back to back in one tray, this won't work as they are too thick together to go into the slot on the phone. Both sims are nano.

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Only in In China mainland, Hong Kong and Macao

Elsewhere, the second sim is an Esim - your provider will have to specifically support esim.

All current iPhones are dual sim, however, iPhones outside of China, Macao and Hong Kong have support for 1 physcial sim and 1 digital eSim. Not 2 physical sims.

Only iPhones mean for sale in China, Macao and Hong Kong support 2 physical sim cards.

Unless your iPhone was bought in those countries, it can only hold one sim card, and you use the digital eSim for the secondary numbers.
