Bluetooth audio going down the drain when mic is in use.

I have my AirPods Pro connect to my mac, and when my mic is in use, it switches to HFP (hands-free profile). Is there anyway I can stop this like you can on windows?

AirPods Pro low audio quality when using videoconference apps in MacOS Hi everyone, I will try to answer to a few questions unsolved I've found related to the bad audio quality when using your AirPods Pro in a Mac with videoconference apps, like Zoom or WebEx or Microsoft Tems. The problem is related to the audio coded. Essentially, the crux of this issue is that when you’re using AirPods for a voice or video call on MacOS, AirPods switch over to Bluetooth’s SCO (Synchronous Connection-Oriented) codec to handle the audio input and output, which tanks the overall audio quality. However, by manually selecting your Mac’s internal microphone as the primary input device, you allow AirPods to switch off SCO, and the quality improves. Another solution is to force the bluetooth coded.
