Apple Watch for senior parent

I’m looking to purchase an Apple Watch for my elderly mother.

I want a decent size face, easy ability to make a call in an emergency and medical monitoring and alerts are a bonus. She won’t use all the bells and whistles- this is more a safety precaution.

what model would you recommend for ease of use - and nice but not a waste of $$$.

Series 1, 2, or 3 Apple watch Fall detection capabilities I don't have an Apple watch nor do I know anything about them so my question is, are older series Apple watches capable of running fall detection Apps? Using apple watch without iPhone My grandmother is 90 years old and has recently been experiencing loss of balance due to atrial fibrillation. I know that the Apple Watch offers some support on things like this as I own one but my question is, if I were to get her one, is there anyway me or my mother can receive a notification that there is a problem? As she doesn't own an iPhone and as you can imagine wouldn't get on with one very well considering her age. Any help is really appreciated and any recommendations of other products that might help would be great! Thank you for the support (I live in the UK)
