When will support for iOS12 end on legacy devices?
I use a ipad mini 2. When will the support and security updates end for the current device?

Your iPad mini2 has already reached the end of major update support. Apple ended major update support for iPad mini2 in September 2019. iPad mini2 cannot be updated to iPadOS 13 (or any later major versions of iPadOS) as the internal hardware does not meet the minimum technical requirements for newer versions of iOS/iPadOS.
Since terminating major update support for iPad mini2, the last security “point” update was 20th May 2020 (iOS 12.4.7), with one further non-CVE patch in 15th July (iOS 12.4.8).
No participants within the Apple Support Communities have any idea when, or indeed if, further point updates will be released for iOS12 devices.
