Strange Noise iPad Pro 11 (2018)

Hi, I've have been in love with my iPad Pro taking my class notes and sketching idea on it, for the last year.

Recently I have notice strange crackling noise, while trying to sleep at night, and found out it's coming from inside my iPad. The sound is somewhat similar to that of hard drive spinning with constant whirling noise with occasional buzzes. It doesn't bother me to the point that I can't use the device, but that's not the point. I'm worried that something is happening to it, or potentially break in the near future...

Point of interest:

Crackling sound, and buzzing near the Apple logo.

Noise disappears when powered off.

Hello there, momocow!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you’re having an issue with there being a crackling and buzzing noise from around the Apple logo in the iPad when it’s powered on. Based on what you’re describing, it would be best to have a technician take a look at the iPad. This can be done by going to a local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can find locations close to you by going to Apple - Find Locations. This will also give you contact information and allow you to make a reservation. You can also reach out to Apple directly by checking out this link to Contact Apple Support and they will be able to review your options as well. Also, check out this link for additional information about iPad Repair.

Cheers!
