For those who've received their otterbox defender, does the protective membrane leave the air bubbles like the case for the 3GS??? I had the otterbox defender for my 3GS and my only complaint is if you didn't use a screen protector it left air bubbles on the screen, very annoying. I did figure out a fix by putting a mist of baby powder on the screen, but the tiny particles drove me crazy too, but I'd rather have that than those annoying air bubbles. I've ordered the defender for the iPhone 4 and I hope they've address that problem. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I was very surprised but I didn't get any bubbles under the screen cover at all.
So from your experience, no baby powder needed??? That's awesome. I'm now ready to get my otterbox in. I love the feel of my iPhone 4 naked, but I'm so paranoid about it getting scratched or even dropped and get damaged that it makes me a nervous wreck. I won't even let my kids hold it. That's why I want it protected so I can relax a little. lol
I had that problem with my 3GS as well, but not with the iPhone 4 case.

Correct no anything just put it the case and it was just fine. I remember reading for my 3gs and the defender case to rub the palm of your hand to get the oil from your skin on the phone screen which did the trick for me but didn't need to do that for the iPhone 4 and case.
Here is a review I found that compares the new and old case at the end of the video showing the watermark effect on his old otterbox case but not his new one.

Thanks for that youtube video. I'm very anxious to get my new otterbox on my new iPhone 4. I ordered it today on the 25th. From what I've seen with other posts about the otterbox orders, I think there's a good chance I may receive it by the end of the week. I'm using an old leather carrying case and the phone slips out so easily, so I'm very careful with it. I'm looking forward to having the otterbox so I don't stress out over possibly breaking the phone.
Does the front screen offer any impact protection, or is it just scratch protection!
Also some reviews say camera lens is covered with clear plastic, others say it's just a hole. Can somebody confirm please?

The front screen cover is just like a lot of cases a thin layer of plastic. The camera on front is protected but the one on back and flash is not protected just a hole for camera and one for flash.
Thank you. 🙂
I'm actually glad they didn't put the plastic over the camera lens. That just seems like it would interfer with the picture quality.
