Poor Phone Reception on Iphone 12 Pro

I have just switched to an Iphone 12 Pro. I now have very poor reception and am unable to make calls from the same spots within our house, that I could with our previous phone (Android). I would be able to make calls from anywhere within our house and have good reception (3 to 4 bars). Since switching to the Iphone 12 Pro....I'm lucky to get 2 bars (with 1 bar being the normal). I now need to walk outside everytime I need to make a call. Just wanted to see if others are experiencing similar issues?

I have had issues with my iPhone 12 Pro Max from day one and blamed the call dropouts on the 3 Network i was on. They sent me a new sim card which made no difference. I could be speaking to someone and be stationary say at my desk and for no reason the other person cannot hear me but i can hear every word they say crisp as anything. I move into another room and sometimes that helps although the call is on wifi so should of helped anyway. Sometimes calls received go straight to voicemail so i miss them totally as the phone doesn't even ring. The callers are not blocked. I changed to EE and experienced exactly the same issues from inserting a brand new sim so i know its the phone and not the network provider. We have 2 iPhone X in our family as well and they experience no issues what so ever. Spoke with Apple today and they agreed to send me a replacement phone but i had to lay out £1199 before they would post it out. Yes i know they charge this as a guarantee to get the phone back but having applecare plus as well you would think they would send another one out next day courier and collect the defective one at the same time but no. What really annoys me is that we are the guinea pigs for these big companies who cant get their products right before selling them to us.

Same here with iPhone 12 Pro on iOS 14.2, dual sim, with EE in London. The second sim is connected to Vodafone, has slightly better signal.

But my main issue is that I had no connectivity issues with my iPhone XR with the same setup. While on the new phone I get maximum one bar if anything at all (max two for the second sim). Not even when moving around, just sitting at home. 😩

iOS 14.2 fixed the problem that I couldn’t charge the phone wirelessly. But this connectivity problem remains. Seriously, how many bugs are we supposed to endure when changing to a new model?! These are not minor issues

I once spoke to an o2 representative who stated that IPhones antennas are approximately 20% weaker than their android equivalents, shame because I prefer iPhone over android though I’ve probably had the same amount of both phones, I just can’t justify spending over £1000 for a phone what struggles to perform its basic function of making/receiving calls etc it’s a shame they don’t invest silly amounts of money at producing aerials that compliment such an expensive piece of kit rather than drag it down.

I am experiencing the same issue as well just purchased the iPhone 12 pro max Almost 5 days ago I’m in over the road truck driver I run my iPad with cellular as well six generation Which usually gets the same phone reception is my iPhone XS would beforehand My iPad will get perfect cell phone reception in areas where I would use to get cell phone reception in with My xs And now with the promax I have zero reception For some reason sometimes when I turn the phone off and turn it back on it I’ll pick up the towers.

I'm having the same issue. We have Verizon as our service provider and just upgraded from an IPhone 8 Plus to an IPhone 12 PRO Max. The antenna on the 12 is awful, I used to get 3-4 bars on my 8 Plus at our office and home. Now with the brand new 12 PRO, I barely get 1-2 bars in the same exact spots. The reception is garbage and it keeps dropping calls. I'm really contemplating on if I should return it and go back to my 8 Plus.

I'm in Australia with Optus. I have been having issues. I think there are different settings your carrier has to use for an Iphone 12, however, that hasn't helped much. I have also just set my phone to basic 4G option with no success. I have been told by friends who are on Telstra, that they have had a similar issue.
