AppleTV Model A1427 - Only option is ETHERNET but won't Connect to my LAN @ home

WiFi is not an option provided by AppleTV device. IP Address is 169.254.36.13 which I believe means can't reach DHCP server.

Ethernet port light on my GB switch is sometimes on but usually off for the port that has the AppleTV attached.

Resetting does not help.

Apple TV Model = A1427,

Apple TV Software = 7.2.2(8015)

I have a second A1427 that works PERFECTLY and have none of these issue.

Apple TV (3rd generation) has had five updates since 7.2.2. You’ve been missing out on the new Apple TV app and a few other enhancements.

You may have to restart the router and switches as well for the Apple TV to connect to the home network.

Wi-Fi should be an option when the ethernet port is empty.
