Save to Clipboard

If the Etrecheck results were saved to clipboard, then you can select the additional text icon in this editor, shown below:

Give that resulting dialog a title, click in the Add a note message window, and then just paste the clipboard contents with ⌘+V.

The Finder Edit menu also has a menu item Show Clipboard.

"Clipboard" isn't an application. It's data that is temporarily stored in memory. It's purpose is to conveniently copy items from one location and paste it to another. If I remember correctly, currently only 1 item can be stored on the clipboard at a time, so if you save something new to the clipboard it will overwrite what was previously on the clipboard.

Callaway has already answered this question but if you've not understood it then copy something else as what was there will be replaced with it.

Frank, the screen grab you supplied is from Safari and not the Finder as Eau Rouge advised.

The clipboard is what you normally cut/copy to and paste from.

So depending on what you have saved to the clipboard, you should be able to paste it to a document, or to a folder.

What and how have you saved it to the clipboard?

In Finder select Edit from the menubar and select Show Clipboard.
