ipad,iphones, apple watch downloaded

I downloaded apple watch software on my devices 18 months ago. I never perchased a apple watch. I have ipad & 2 iphone 11s. Was just reading about how apple watch works if devices backed up with watch out of range, said it will back up on one of my 3 devices. that is what is happening. can someone tell me how i can fined out & put a stop to this!

Creating Periodic Apple Watch Backups Recently my pristine 7 month old 4th Gen Apple Watch failed two days after swimming with it on for the first time. When Apple gave me a new Watch, I was dismayed to learn when setting it up that the most recent Apple Watch backup stored on my paired Apple iPhone was from last January when I upgraded from my 3rd Gen Apple Watch to my then new 4th Gen Apple Watch. Other than going through the lengthy process of periodic unpairing and then re-pairing my Apple Watch, is there no way to force my iPhone and Watch to store backups of the watch on my iPhone?

How to backup Apple Watch when iCloud backup is turned off for iPhone? I restore my iPhone often, and every time I do, I have to unpair my Apple Watch. When I go to add my watch again, I'm never given the option to restore from backup; this means I lose all my watch faces, settings, configurations, and complications. How can i backup my Apple Watch data so I can restore from backup when I pair my watch? I do not backup my iPhone to iCloud and do not wish to enable this feature. Thanks!
