This dialog box is Useless. In the finder, i cannot search for the system extension based on the developer name. But I can if this dialog box told me the name of the extension. Why doesn't it do that?

The dialog box in the OS that lead me to this board to provide feedback infers that it would include the text of the dialog box, or at least to a specific discussion thread about the issue. I am all about being complete and clear in my communication with all on all issues technical. You are correct, the dialog box was about the future use of legacy extensions. Nonetheless, the dialog box does not tell you the name of the extension, only its signer. Since you cannot search in the Finder for a file by its signer, this dialog box is almost useless. The dialog box should tell us 1. What is the name of the extension, and 2. where it resides on my computer. Then we can makes choices on how to deal with it.
You refer to "this dialog box", yet you do not tell us what it says. If you expect us to know what you are thinking, i must inform you that we can not. I suspect that what you are referring to is a notice concerning the future use of legacy extensions. If so, I offer the following information for you. Concerning Apple’s announcement regarding Legacy System Extensions, there is nothing we have to do or be worried about at this time. What Apple is telling us is that when the next new operating system comes out (Big Sur), it will no longer allow those Legacy System Extensions which are part of other vendor’s apps. That means that any software vendors who have failed to update their offerings will be incompatible with the new OS. Those vendors have all been told what changes they will need to make to be compatible and I assume they are doing so. The bottom line is this. Before installing the next OS we need to visit our vendor web sites to verify that they have updated their offerings. If an important software has not been upgraded, then it might be a good idea to wait before installing Big Sur. Some people ask why Apple does not identify what programs use these extensions. This is because sometimes more than one vendor may use the same extension. In the meantime, it is nothing we need to worry about.
You have just been told you do not need to do anything.
