DVD Player opens to gray screen -- audio is OK

when air playing to my Apple TV the DVD plays fine on my computer prior but when changing to Airplay screen goes grey on both computer and Apple TV

Now when I stream video from my browser (chrome or safari same thing), The video on the IMAC and Apple TV goes grey, I am using rogers ignite TV in a browser on the IMAC and then airplay with the apple TV to my TV. I've restarted both several times. No internet problems. Airplay from my iphone works fine. What should I do next?

Black Screen with Airplay on macOS Monterey Hi, I'm experiencing issues streaming movies over Apple TV on AirPlay. Netflix, Disney +, and Hulu work directly on my Macbook, but when I connect my device over AirPlay to my Apple TV, the screen is black, but I can hear audio. This happens both on the Google Chrome browser and Safari. Any workaround?

The DVD Player application on Macs block AirPlay/screen sharing/screen capture, as required for software that licenses official DVD playback technology. It is part of the copy protection.
