Adding files to an encrypted folder

I have successfully encrypted a folder on my desktop using Disk Image. However, now I can't add any files to it. How to I fix this?

Thanks

The solution is to use full disk encryption.

Encrypt Mac data with FileVault - Apple Support

If you have a need to transfer sensitive information, encrypt the disk image prior to transferring it. The disk image you created accomplished that already.

Encryping folders or disk images does nothing to encrypt the information that existed prior to its creation, multiple copies of which will remain all over an unencrypted disk or volume. Unencrypting that disk image will similarly litter an unencrypted volume with unencrypted copies.
