When I click a link someone sent me via Facebook Messenger app, nothing happens. I can forward, copy, like the message but can't open it.
May be this is not related to iOS 14 and related to the messenger app.
Please help me
I had the same issue! All I had to do was go into my phone settings and change my default browser from chrome to safari. To switch it just click on safari in the settings and change the default browser. I personally prefer chrome so once I finished watching it I switched it back over to chrome. To switch it back you have to click on chrome in the settings. Hope this helps!

Not sure about the way it supposed to work. But I had the same problem in number of apps. Not only in messenger. So it has to be problem of apple. Or they supposed to tell to developers, how they need to change the code.
I have the same problem in fasebook messenger app. But i have the same problem in more apps. Problem showed only after updating to ios 14. So maybe developer supposed to update their apps. But apple should tell them what to change.
Found solution for me. I changed back safari to be my default browser. Worked great to me
Well, d**n, if that didn't fix the problem. 😑 Why it "has" to be this way, I don't know, but it works. And it sucks.

Thanks Redspb worked for me also. I had Chrome as default browser.
It looks like every link inside messenger is opened first on Safari before being redirected to the right app.
Finally a solution, thanks. This worked for me.
My question is if we change the default browser then it won’t use Chrome anymore. :(
