my computer mac desktop turns on then shows the apple logo and then turns off
iMac 27″, OS X 10.11
What iMac? They have been in continuous production for over 22 years in hundreds of variants with different troubleshooting schemes. This is complicated by our crystal ball being in the shop at the moment 😉
Please do "About this Mac" and tell what your computer shows for "sub-model'
Likely a hardware issue, I would recommend taking it to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider.
