My PC won't recognize my iPhone 4

My PC won't recognize my iPhone 4 so I can't move pictures from the phone to the PC. Any suggestions?

You need to be more specific. PC or mac, version of itunes, What OS you are running etc.

Uhhh, did you read his post? He specifically said "PC"...

So based on the information provided what is your suggestion to the OP? 🙂

They really do need to post more details. This isn't an auto-shop where you can drop off your car and tell them "it doesn't work" while provided access to the car so they can figure out what "doesn't work" means.

On a forum you have to tell people what happens in detail when something "doesn't work".

Based on the information provided so far by the OP, here are my suggestions:

1. Make sure your PC is turned on.
2. Make sure your phone is turned on.
3. Make sure the USB cable is connected securely to the phone.
4. Make sure the USB cable is connected securely to a working USB port on the PC.

There, problem solved! If the OP is still having issues after trying to above they should post back with more details.

Of course, it's plugged in correctly, etc. I didn't think anyone would run anything but the latest iTunes and iPhone software. So, I still need suggestions. I connect to the USB and when I look at 'My Computer' it apparently doesn't know my iPhone 4 is there. On the other hand, it has no trouble detecting my iPhone 3Gs.

Have you tried a different USB port? If you have some in the front and back of your machine see if moving to whichever side you haven't tried helps any.

Have you made sure your OS is patched up all the way? If you have Windows are you using the latest service pack?

Have you tried on another computer to see if the problem follows the phone or stays on a specific PC?

There are quite a few people who tried to install iOS 4.0.0 without installing iTunes 9.2 first (in reference to the 3GS).

Also, there were quite a few who wouldn't update their 3G/3GS iPhone to the iOS 4.0.0, and then got the iPhone 4, so thus, they didn't NEED to install the new iTunes.

There are a lot of people who refuse to install iOS 4.0.1.
