Problem updating my Iphone through Itunes

Lately when I connect my Iphone or Ipad to Itunes to perform an IOS update I get prompted to install the latest version of Itunes. When I try to update Itunes a message says I am at the latest version (12.10.10.2). Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

See If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. If you're trying to update using iTunes try over the air try instead, or vice versa.
