Is there a search function in iCloud ?

From an iPhone , open photos , in the bottom corner click on spotlight search , on the top enter the year in search field , again click on search .
You can only scroll up the photos in www.icloud.com the photos are placed example July 2015 - September 2016 , there is no spotlight search .
