how does an answer get "Recommended by Apple" and then less than a week later, the exact same answer, to the same question by a different member, gets removed for providing "questionable advice"? i don't really care that it was removed, but don't want to be asked to leave the community because i gave the same answer and it got removed because it was "questionable".

Because someone at Apple reviewed the answer and decided to overrule the original recommendation.
BTW it helps if you post a link to the original post with the Apple Recommended that you are referring to so the hosts can look at it.

they didn't overrule the first answer, they removed the answer to a second question. (same question, different member.) and also, i'm not sure i should add the link for the original Q&A as it would be another questionable post and i don't want to be kicked out of here.
Posting a link to an existing thread here would not be a violation of anything.
