I bought this phone off of the LetGo app. I got home only to realize I have to contact apple support in order to update it before I even activate it. its an iPhone 7.

And do you have a SIM in it? Also, try connecting it to a computer and see if you can update it.
Can you post the exact error message you are getting, or post a screenshot?
like I’ve said the phone was purchased on an app called LetGo . My mom is 45 and really was trying to buy the phone as a gift for my little brother who is 14 . And she did not think to put a SIM card in the phone because she doesn’t know how it would work. So when she purchased it she called me. The phone was completely dead. Then she got home and charged it and connected to her WiFi to try and set it up and then this error message kept popping up
