ESIM is not activating

I’m a customer of Verizon and I’ve activated the eSIM on my new 12Pro on their network however they’re stating they’ll be a delay to connect to the phone because of some issue on Apples end. They state the phone is on the network and registered but because of some Apple issue the phone is not connecting.

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14
