Unknown senders

Hello,

I have both options for blocking unknown senders on, I even downloaded an app to block the SMS messages, which those have stopped, but now I’m getting iMessage spam, which does filter into the unknown senders tab. The issue I’m having is getting notifications about unknown sender messages. The settings say that turning it on will even block the notifications, so why isn’t it stopping notifications?
