I know of no way to do that automatically. The best alternative might be to save outgoing messages as drafts, then somehow remember to send them later.

I too miss this most excellent Outlook facility.

May I suggest that all of us who also do so should use the Mail Feedback option (Mail > Provide Mail Feedback) in the hope that Apple will take note and add this most useful facility to a future upgrade or release?

Thanks Guys let's what develops. I have seen in my Google search some solutions for downloading a script the would do what we are looking for. I didn't feel comfortable with it, seemed like a lot of configuration and additional steps to just get a delayed email sent.

This link will download a bunch of scripts. You can schedule at a certain time to send.

Hi there, I'm in search of the same thing here.

I tried this but all it does is remind you when you wanted the email sent. You still have to go into your drafts select the email and send it yourself!

Is there any way to automatically send an email at a given time?

    Thanks

Yes, using automator you can create a workflow sending the desired email, save it as an application and then create an event in iCal at the time you wish to send the email and under alarm select open file and navigate to the saved application.
Hope this helps, better late than never,
    Jeff

The question is, in OUTLOOK for Mac can you simply delay sending an email to a chosen time in the future.
It was simple using Outlook 2010 in the Windows environment. Nobody answering this directly suggests it is not possible, which is very annoying since I have used this feature regularly for 5 years prior to using Outlook for MAC.

Yes I agree. The delay send feature in Outlook is a very useful tool. I really wish apple's email program had this feature

I use the option to schedule a send.  You'll find it under "Preferences" > "Schedule".  If you double-click the "Send All" entry, you can "Add an Occurrence" under "When" then set a repeating schedule for every 10 minutes.  What will happen is that you'll send a message and it will sit in the Outbox until the scheduler triggers a send.  The only time I have a problem is when I send a message then the scheduler triggers a send within the next couple of seconds -- then the message goes out pretty quickly.  However, the vast majority of the time, it works well.

Old thread, I know (over 18 months).  However, I just wanted to see if anyone has found a solution between the last post and now to this much-needed feature in Apple Mail?

I am new to mac and purchased the office suite for mac assuming all the functionality I utilised frequently would transfer.

I am currently missing the options tag in outlook for messages so that I can ask for read receipts, delay sending etc. it looks like these don't exist.

    Am I correct?

Hello. I have just bad news:

    1. In Outook 2011 for MAC this is a feature that doesn't exist. If you’d like to see in future versions of Office for Mac, be sure to send your feedback by clicking “Help” > “Send Feedback…” in any Office application.

    2. I can't found and "nice" script for delay send our emails using mail...

    3. I don´t know how to use automator... may be someone can upload a youtube video how to do it.

Hope someone give us some good new.

    David

Thanks for posting that, it looks like it will do what people want. Here's a link to the developer's site in case the macupdate no longer works. http://www.mrose.nl/mailscheduler
