Can i use a different apple id only for the app store

can i have a different apple id only for the app store purpose and use my normal one for everything else?

have two iphones in different countries and could not access the same apps...

You can have a different Apple ID for the App Store/iTunes. If the 2 phones are set to use 2 different App Store/iTunes region stores, an ID can only be set to use one region/store at a time.

But you can still have the same same initial login for iCloud, calendar etc. Only the App Store would change. Correct ?

I have one ID for the App Store/iTunes and another ID I use for everything else. I haven't had any problems.
