iPod Classic 160GB
What power adapter will work with an older iPod Classic 160GB? I bought a generic 1A one from Amazon, which claimed it would work with this iPod, but it doesn't.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I just called Apple directly, and learned they sell them, but they aren't on their website, but I was able to order one by phone. The one from Amazon, though it claimed to be compatible, must be too low power to work. Thanks again. (The fellow I spoke with at Apple was surprised that my over-ten-year-old iPod Classic was still working!)

Thanks, Peter. The one the Apple sales agent picked out to sell to me (and which I haven't received yet) was 5W. So, if that one doesn't work, I'll go back to Apple and see if I can trade it for a 10W -- assuming they still sell them.
An original Apple charger, or in principle one carrying Apple MFI certification.

You're welcome. 🙂

I have two. One is used every night 8 hours a night (for my tinnitus) and battery still has at least 3 nights of use per charge.
The original chargers are 2.1A (10W)
