My iPad (model - MD510 B/A) tells me it's software is up to date. But it is only on iOS 10.3.3

Your model (iPad 4th generation) cannot support iOS versions beyond 10.3.3-4 because of hardware incompatibility (CPU / RAM).

Hi Giulio. Many thanks for your speedy reply, I thought that might be the case, but I am grateful for your confirmation - guess I need to buy an up to date version : )
