Do you have Beta Big Sur installed?
After I installed the beta for Big Sur, I noticed that the physical feedback that the trackpad gives you when you "click" (which isn't a physical click anymore, it's actually a small vibration for newer MacBooks) stopped working for me. Press on it. Or in System Preferences > Trackpad, enable tap to click.
