I previously had a beta profile installed on my iPhone X and now when I have the public release of 14.2 I get promoted with this message every time I unlock my phone

You still have the BETA version installed on your iPhone. There is still no Public Release of iOS version 14.2. The most current Public Release, as of today, is iOS version 14.1. You may have deleted the BETA Profile however not the update. If you have the BETA profile installed then check for an update. If you do not have the profile then install it again and then update. That will resolve this issue.
