Nausea dizziness

I am seriously concerned that my phone is making me sick. There is more to this but I’m so afraid to not be taken seriously I deleted it all.

I also wrote because i clicked to respond to another persons issue but hers was expired or something.

I am very serious.

Sorry, but the article you posted does not say it is addicting nor extremely bad for you. You can activate a setting to shift the light of the iPhone screen from blue at night to avoid interference with sleep rhythms. Note the emphasize "may" in the article about other hazards. So far no study has definitively supported an extreme harm as Idris said.

I can pull an article from the ether and granularity still wouldn't be the point. It's unnecessary to call someone's honest contribution nonsense when nobody knows exactly what's making us terribly sick.

Something may not be of value to you, perhaps because you know everything, but some of us could be lead in the right direction while isolating this.

The appropriate response would be "im not aware of blue light causing..." Not "this is nonsense" when you don't know what someone's ability to articulate in english is, and it is well documented that blue light is indeed problematic.

It is the point, blue light has become the new gluten mania (no, gluten does not cause 587 diseases) and with little to no scientific support the poster attributed problems to it that nothing scientific has shown. Pleas show me a reputable link that says blue light is addictive? And the for some reason hyphenated extremely bad for you is not supported anywhere. Hence, it is nonsense.

This is a terrible place to be trying to figure out any medical issues, as are most places on the internet. And every persons body is different. If you are sick you need to see a doctor. It is not a technical support issue. And posting nonsense can hurt people.

No, I don't have an issue with OLED screens although I know people who do. Those that went to doctors found out they have a problem with the refresh rate with OLED screens (and in one case an OLED TV) and are looking forward to miniLED screens.

No, the user I am helping to dismiss did not help anyone unless you are one of those people who thinks posting fake news about vaccines, COVID-19, etc. are "helpful". How does telling people incorrectly that blue light is "addictive" is not helpful, in fact it is dangerous. Same for the claim it is extremely harmful. And non-OLED screens have the same standard blue light output as non-OLED screens. But you can reduce it on a setting with both models.

There is a difference between being honest and direct to the point and being rude. Idris was direct. If I had seen it first I would have responded in a similar manner. Incorrect and potentially harmful statements deserve a forceful and direct response.

Both of you should consider moving on to Reddit or some other place if you want to do medical speculation based on nothingness.

Have you seen your doctor? Your ophthalmologist? A neurologist? What did they say?

From the article you linked to (italics mine):

Some studies suggest a link between exposure to light at night, such as working the night shift, to diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. That's not proof that nighttime light exposure causes these conditions; nor is it clear why it could be bad for us.

and

If blue light does have adverse health effects,

And, nothing about the light being "addicting".

No, the appropriate response to unscientific nonsense is calling it out. It doesn't help anyone and may actually inpede the search for real answers.

I had the same feeling with vertigo

Vertigo can be benign or it can be a symptom of something more serious. No one here can tell. What we can tell you, though, is that a user-to-user technical support forum is not where you should be getting medical advice. Make arrangements to see a doctor.

Also, sit down, have a snack and drink some water.

Yes to Q1. Yes I guess to Q2. And no to Q3 as I think the doctor will probably tell me to stop using the AirPods which I have done and I have therefore stopped feeling giddy. I just hope that iPhones will NOT do away completely with earphone jacks and only allow wireless earphones or headphones coz there are folks like me who can’t seem to take to wireless earphones.

I purchased a 12 Pro 5 days ago and have been having low grade vertigo/nausea and headaches since then. I have been an iphpne/Mac and Ipad user for over a decade and have never had a similar issue. I am in perfect health with no other underlying issues so I am 100% confident that this is a 12 Pro issue. I read somewhere to turn the brightness all the way up in Settings and to turn the "True Tone" lighting format off in Settings, as well. I also turned on the "Reduce Motion" feature in "Accessibility". Although I can't say which of these actions have solved my issue and reduced the side effects, but they are much better and I have been using the phone with no ill effects for a day now. I am relieved. This is definitely something that Apple (and perhaps other phone manufacturers) need to look into. There are probably at least thousands of users who are having these problems and have not made the connection or figured out how to resolve the issue.
