I can't find how to navigate this. I'm the Family Organizer and just subbed to Apple One premier (2 Tb plan). My spouse has the pre-existing subscription to 2TB shared iCloud storage. My son pays the Apple Music subscription. How do we cancel their plans and keep existing picture storage and music play lists intact?
Cancelling her plan didn’t immediately allow the other family members to see the new Apple One shared storage. The key step was to go into wife’s account and stop sharing of her data plan. Then when I went into iCloud sharing from my account, I was prompted to message the family that new storage was available to them. They have all migrated now. I assume switching Apple Music subscriptions will behave the same.

Your spouse will have to cancel her "pre-existing subscription to 2TB" plan, then you can invite them to the Apple One Premier bundle you enrolled in. Doing this will preserve your shared Apple Music subscription and shared photo albums.
