Control center icon
I had an icon for the control center on the Home Screen that has disappeared. What is it supposed to do? How do I get it back? Pic shows what it looked like in upper right.

I think Apple may have made a statement about it at some point but I'm not sure. I do remember it was a fairly common question when they first did it. At one point the horizontal line was also a temporary indicator but I just noticed on my phone that it is now permanent -- I'm not sure when that happened.

That is a temporary icon designed to let new users know where Control Center is located. I don't know of any way to make it permanent or make it return once it is automatically removed.
Using one finger, swipe down where the battery icon is.
Thanks! Why doesn’t Apple tell users that someplace? Or did I miss it?
That is not what I asked and doesn’t solve the question. But thanks for trying.
Thanks! I’ve seen that line from time to time but nothing always. Not sure what makes it appear. appreciate the info!
