MacBook Pro: Personal Hotspot Works, but doesn't display signal type, signal strength, or battery percentage of iPhone 12 Pro.

Hello World,

I've recently picked up the iPhone 12 pro, and paired it via bluetooth to my MacBook pro. It's now able to recognize my personal hotspot within the WiFi drop down menu, connects to the network just fine, and provides blazing fast connectivity. The problem I'm experiencing is that the drop down doesn't display the cell signal type, my cell signal strength, or the battery percentage of my iPhone like it normally would.

Is this an anomaly that any other iPhone 12 pro users have experienced? or, perhaps even other iPhone users? Also, has anyone who experienced it been able to fix it?

Please let me know of your experiences, any input would be greatly appreciated!

I've resolved this issue using three steps...

Shift+Option+Click bluetooth, remove all devices & reset bluetooth module, restart MacBook

Afterwards, settings>network> Select WiFi, then select the minus symbol to remove the configuration. Then add it back(this doesn't affect your keychain).

Then finally, factory reset network settings on your iPhone.

My MacBook pro now beautifully displays my personal hotspot, doesn't require or prompt for password, and shows Cell Signal Type 5G, Bars & Battery level.
