Apple TV app is not available on my 2016 Samsung tv

I have a monthly subscription to Apple TV but the app is not available on my2016 Samsung tv. When I try to get it in my iPad the only option is to buy a new subscription. I need to either cancel my current subscription or find a way to watch it on my iPad without purchasing a new monthly subscription

The Apple TV+ subscription would be available on any of your devices with the Apple TV app that are signed in with the Apple ID account that has this subscription.

Unfortunately, the oldest models Samsung TV that support the Apple TV app are from 2018. Apple TV app supported devices - Apple

Unsupported TVs can gain the functionality of the Apple TV app from a supported HDMI connected streaming device, such as the Apple TV set-top box, a Roku, or a Fire TV device.

It is unclear why you would not get it on your iPad, though, if you already have the subscription.
