Can't sign into iCloud from new iPhone 8 plus

I just got a new iPhone 8 plus and I can't sign into my iCloud from it because it n is sending an authentication code to my old iPhone 8 Plus which I recently lost. What do I do?

Then you may need to consider account recovery - How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple ID password - Apple Support.

Not in this case, no. Typically, when I try to log into iCloud and it doesn't recognize the device I'm logging in from, I do get that option and am able to get int (by having the code texted to my regular phone). In this case, I'm not being given that option
