Sim locked

I just bought bought a iPhone 11 brand new and it says it’s sim locked. How do I find out what carrier it is or how to unlock it thanks

It should have told you when you made the purchase. Otherwise, you would need to call Apple Support and ask them. You will need to give them the serial number and possibly the IMEI from the box.


Apple is the only one that sells unlocked phones.

That's irrelevant. It stopped being "new" the minute it was sold by Apple or another authorized retailer to the original purchaser.


If you buy a new car, and don't ever even get in and start the engine, you can not then sell it to someone else as "new". It is no longer new. It is used.
