Find my iPhone data usage

Hello,

my phone has used 1.1gb of data in the last 9 months on just find my iPhone. That sounds really high to me. It is my biggest data drain. Does that sound normal? If not, how do I fix it?

You should be able to go to settings, and tap Mobile Data to see your breakdown of app usage. It only shows two months worth of data, for me Find My is only using 2.0MB for the past two months; however I am on Wi-Fi 99% of the time so I cannot truly say how much data Find My would use if I was always on cellular, perhaps someone else could weigh in on their experiences.

1.1GB in 9 months seems extremely low. Each person in my family uses between 15-25GB every single month. If you have questions on your data usage check with your carrier.

No, not my entire data usage. I'm talking specifically about one single app - the Find My app. I understood that all it does is ping off a couple of numbers now and again

Thanks Eric. I have another phone that is also showing around 2MB for Find My.

Is anyone else getting high figures like mine? Any suggestions for a fix?
