iOS 14.1 enabling 2FA by itself on iphone 7

I just upgraded my iOS from 13.7 to 14.1 and now my iPhone is enabling 2FA by itself.

I've gotten a pair of emails, twice over two days, sent in the early morning hours letting me know this has happened.

I also get the notice in settings saying that I need to sign in and enter the 6 digit 2FA code.

I've had to go and click the link in that email to undo this new 'feature' and then I've had to reset my password.... twice.

Why is this happening?!?!

If I wanted 2FA enabled, I would have turned it on my self! I DO NOT WANT 2FA on my phone as I don't use the wallet feature and have no intention of doing so and the process of having to use another device to get the code is a PITA!
