Hi,
My iPhone SE 2nd gen makes a buzzing noise (physical) when opening the rear camera. It is not reproduced from the front one. The noise does not comeback immediately after the first time, however, if I close the camera app and lock the phone for a while it is bound to happen again by opening the rear camera. It’s not very loud but it’s still a perfectly clear sound which should not be happening.

I would take it to a nearby Apple store, however, there are none available in my region. I suggest you take it somewhere if you have access.

Did your problem appear out of nowhere, or something happened to the phone that lead to it?
Update: had the camera replaced under AppleCare warranty... and it still makes the noise.

I did all of the above, however the issue continues, I like to emphasize that the sound is physical and it is coming out of the rear camera directly. There is no perceivable change in camera performance however.

Mine has acted like this ever since I purchased the phone. There hasn’t been any physical damage to it at all. The 2020 IPhone SE is hardly three months old.
How about yours? Did it happen over time or has it been that way the entire time? Honestly, I’m at the point of blaming it on poor build quality.
No, mine was fine at first, though it started making this noise just out of the blue a couple of weeks back. I was wondering whether it would be because of the constant sanitizing, however I am very careful while doing so.

Is that supposed to be an honest advice as to how to fix it? That’s awful! It’s a physical problem and best you can say is “restart it?” Maybe you shouldn’t be working in technology.

I’ve heard about this issue occurring on the iPhone XR, which shares the same components in the camera I believe. Mines experienced no physical damage at all, I can’t justify why it would be making the noise for any other reason than a defect in its design.
