How to send text to 5 or 6 digit number

Just add the number to your Contacts. I sent STOP to a message I received and then deleted it. When I wanted to send RESUME to that number the text message app wouldn’t accept the number. It worked after adding the number to contacts.

I tried adding a space after each number (there wasn’t the option of a comma). When I added a space with the three numbers and then added my text and hit send it combined all three numbers into one. I did this multiple times with the same response. Very frustrating.
