Any idea why an audio cross fade is not working? Option - T. It's also grayed out in the menu. (For the record, I spend at least 1/2 hour trying to figure this out myself, watching videos, reading posts, Help menu etc. before I come here)! Thx!!!!

What are you showing there? Are the clips on the primary storyline? Double click the edit point and post a screenshot of the precision editor.
Does that menu remain greyed out or become active when the two adjoint clips are selected, e.g.:
It's hard to see, but I think it's applied. It's only a two frame crossfade in the default. Wait, wait. The audio is extended, isn't it. If the audio's overlapped and extended the crossfade won't apply. The audio has to be like this
If it's like this, you can't apply a crossfade.
Ok, I selected both clips, like we see in the second image in the post above… And it does not work… It gives me that error sound effect that's how I knew this wasn't working…
That might be it. If the audio was expanded and zoomed in so we could see, we might be able to tell.
I tried a few underneath the main storyline in a music file and it worked, so I tried again now it seems to be working fine EXCEPT on the one clip I am sending images from..
It is only grayed out when those 2 clips in question are selected. With other clips, it is NOT grayed out.
Maybe your keyboard shortcut is associated to something else.
What do you see in the Modify->Adjust Audio Fades menu?
Here is what I see.
(mine is greyed out because the selection already has an audio fade applied; but note the Shortcut is there)
Are there any fades already applied to these clips?
Try this, for each of the two clips in turn:
• select the clip, press Shift-F to reveal in browser.
• drag the clip from the browser over the one on the timelime
• choose Replace
Do the new copies allow the audio crossfade?
The first image is wrong. The second one is correct. The default audio crossfade Is extremely short. Expand the audio to see of the two audios are overlapped. Post a screenshot.
