Adobe Flash on Safari

Hello,

I no longer seem to have adobe flash plugin (sorry i don't really get all this stuff!) as an option on the dropdown menu they are talking about here: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enabling-flash-player-safari.html

(ie safari>preferences>general)

OS catalina 10.15.7 (macbook air)

what is going on? how can this be resolved?

I just keep going round in circles

on flash tab of system preferences it says: NPAPI Plug-in version 32.0.0.445 is installed.

but underneath that it also says: PPAPI Plug-in is not installed. and the button before it says 'install now'

but if i press that it takes me here: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html

What does this mean? I won't be able to get it again (safely)?

TIA for any help any of you can give.

Emma

Flash is deprecated. It's end of life is the end of 2020. Safari no longer supports it. Other browsers will soon follow suit. Chrome still does, for now.
