How do you sort mailboxes alphabetically?
I have several hundred mailboxes and new mailboxes show up at the bottom of the mailbox list. I saw another thread that suggested I needed to use Terminal to fix this - really? Come on Apple!

You could probably do some form of defaults write com.apple.mail sortorderbysubject = 1
or you could just click on the sort by popup menu above the message list.
Come on morganfromoregon, was it that hard to look for it?

READ the question before replying. I did not ask how do you sort mail messages. I ASKED how do you sort MAILBOXES.
It's ok, we all have a hard time reading sometimes...but thanks anyway!
I sort mailboxes using the sort popup menu.
If you want to sort the Mailbox List, just drag them into whatever order you want. No need to use Terminal.
