Macbook Air A1932 Screen

Anyone managed to get a free screen replacement for a Macbook Air A1932 with what I have been told to be a pressure crack on the lower corner of my screen? I have not dropped it or anything and I don't understand how a screen for such an expensive notebook can be so fragile! I only had it for one year and according to my local apple store it is not covered by apple warranty and I want to cry I cannot believe this!
