While you could have

  • VGA
  • DVI
  • HDMI
  • DisplayPort

as the the most common ports on the back of the monitor, I'm going to assume you have a more recent monitor and it has HDMI

You can get a USB-C to HDMI cable from places like Monoprice.com, Amazon.com, NewEgg.com, etc... I have one that I've used with my Macbook Pro to my monitor.

You can also get a Thunderbolt 3 dock, there are a gazillion of them available, so I'm not going to speculate. But it is very common for Thunderbolt 3 docks to include at least one HDMI port, so if your monitor came with cables, you can get a dock that supports that cable.

The advantage of a Thunderbolt 3 dock is that they often also have traditional USB3 type A ports, so existing external devices can plug into the dock.

But if you do not want a dock, chances are you can just use a USB-C to HDMI cable.
