I really, really hate that I don’t have access to any of my online/saved passwords, unless I set up a passcode. I’ve never had a passcode, I don’t have a reason to have one. I’ve always been able to turn it off, but now it’s forced. Not pleased.

If this wasn't required and your device was stolen then anyone would have access to all of your stored passwords. This is to protect you.

Do you have a corporate app? Apple Pay? These may require a passcode in place.
