How do we download the iPhone software update

The same as every other iOS update.

Settings > General > Software Update
Make sure iPhone has 4-5 GB of free space
Connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi (No personal Hotspot or VPN)
Connect to wall power (switch Low Power Mode OFF)
Make sure you are not using iOS Beta
