FAKE FLASH PLAYER UPDATE POPS UP WHEN I CLICK .dmg FILES

I tried malwarebytes but it didn't detect anything. I did factory reset my MacBook but still pops up...it happens when I try to open some .dmg files. Please help me! I heard its quite dangerous one!!

Ventura security problems. I updated to Ventura 13.1 . I can not find a way to run for example VMD, molden etc. These are the programs I used to work with on a daily basis. I am getting the errors: For VMD: “startup.command” cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware. For molden: “libgfortran.3.dylib” can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store. Your security settings allow installation of only apps from the App Store. I did not find a way to make it work. Could anyone help, please? Is there any official way for system problems for mac users? This is really annoying to struggle with this kind of new features that does not work properly on the updated macOS. I have a feeling that with the every update I am less and less happy with the operating system and regret that abandoned linux enviroment... Thank you in advance for your help, tips and tricks.

Where are you getting these *.dmg files from? Check the Source of where they are coming from. Are these TRUSTED Sites? If no, stay away from them.

These popups are a trap to try and get you to download this malware and install it on the computer. The popup itself is not dangerous unless you click on something and download the payload and install.

As mentioned earlier, since you are very aware if this, best practice is stay away from this type of sites.

I will check...is the virus active once it pops up or will it become harmful once u click on it. coz I will have to reset my Mac again.

are you using safari? safari blocks these malicious sites big time , were they don't open!
