iPhone 12 freezing

Why is my IPhone 12 freezing when sending text messages. I have deleted a lot of old text messages. I also reset my keyboard as suggested in an older post.

NOT loving this new phone☹️😡

Also, are all SMS, MMS, and iMessage based texts freezing and to all contacts, or is it only certain people and/or message types?

I just got an iPhone 12s and it is freezing up when I go to my text messages and email. I have plenty of storage on my phone so that is not the issue. I also reset the keyboard and restarted my phone. That is not the issue do you have any other suggestions to help keep my phone from freezing every time I go to send a text message? I have over 100 GB of storage free on my phone
